Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026
The short version: the only personal data this website collects is your email address, and only if you choose to give it to us so we can tell you when SmartConnect launches. We don't use cookies, we don't track you, and we won't send you anything else.
Who we are
WyldRover (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs this website and is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
If you have any questions about this notice or your personal data, email us at [email protected].
What this notice covers
This notice covers the WyldRover marketing website (wyldrover.com and wyldrover.co.uk) and the launch-notification sign-up on it. SmartConnect — the product and its companion app — will have its own, separate privacy notice when it launches.
The only data we collect
If you enter your email address in a “notify me at launch” form and submit it, we collect and store that email address. That is the only personal data we ask for or keep. We do not collect your name, location, or any other details, and we do not build a profile of you.
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies. There is nothing stored on your device, and we do not follow you across other sites. That's why you won't see a cookie banner here — there is nothing to consent to.
Why we use your email, and our lawful basis
We use your email address for one purpose only: to send you a single email when SmartConnect is ready to order (including any early-bird pricing for the first production run). Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is your consent, which you give by submitting the form; sending the launch email as a marketing message also relies on that consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can withdraw your consent at any time (see below), and doing so is as easy as giving it.
Who else can see it
Our website and its forms are hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., United States), which stores form submissions on our behalf as our data processor. We do not sell your email address or share it with anyone else for their own purposes.
Storing your data outside the UK
Because Netlify is based in the United States, your email address may be stored and processed outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) under Netlify's data processing terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address only until we have sent the launch announcement and you've had a fair chance to unsubscribe, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first. After that we delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it's wrong, or erased;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another provider; and
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email us at[email protected]. There's no charge, and we'll respond within one month.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email[email protected] at any time and we'll remove your address.
Automated decisions
We do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling using your personal data.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, helpline 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
